In adult characters Chalcodryidae shows close affinities with Perimylopidae, but the larvae differ in several important respects. The family is defined on adult and larval characters. All genera and species are keyed and described, including\n                    <jats:italic>Chalcodrya hilaris<\/jats:italic>\n                    sp. nov. and\n                    <jats:italic>Philpottia levinotis<\/jats:italic>\n                    sp. nov.\n                  <\/jats:p>\n                  <jats:p>\n                    The following new synonymy is established:\n                    <jats:italic>Philpottia mollis<\/jats:italic>\n                    (Broun, 1886) =\n                    <jats:italic>P. maculata<\/jats:italic>\n                    Broun, 1915. Onysius anomalus Broun, 1886 =\n                    <jats:italic>O. pulcher<\/jats:italic>\n                    Broun, 1893.\n                    <jats:italic>Sirrhas limbatus<\/jats:italic>\n                    Champion, 1893 =\n                    <jats:italic>Notolea limbata<\/jats:italic>\n                    Carter, 1915.\n                  <\/jats:p>\n                  <jats:p>A group of proclinate, blunt\u2010tipped chemosensory setae, forming a probable olfactory organ, is recorded on the dorsal surface of the terminal segment of the maxillary paIp.
