Autoencoders provide a signal-agnostic approach but are limited by the topology of their latent space. This work explores topology-aware autoencoders, embedding phase-space distributions onto compact manifolds that reflect energy-momentum conservation. We construct autoencoders with spherical (\n                    <jats:italic>\n                      S\n                      <jats:sup>n<\/jats:sup>\n                    <\/jats:italic>\n                    ), product (\n                    <jats:inline-formula>\n                      <jats:tex-math>\n                        \n                      <\/jats:tex-math>\n                      <mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\" overflow=\"scroll\">\n                        <mml:mrow>\n                          <mml:msup>\n                            <mml:mi>S<\/mml:mi>\n                            <mml:mn>2<\/mml:mn>\n                          <\/mml:msup>\n                          <mml:mo>\u2297<\/mml:mo>\n                          <mml:msup>\n                            <mml:mi>S<\/mml:mi>\n                            <mml:mn>2<\/mml:mn>\n                          <\/mml:msup>\n                        <\/mml:mrow>\n                      <\/mml:math>\n                    <\/jats:inline-formula>\n                    ), and projective (\n                    <jats:inline-formula>\n                      <jats:tex-math>\n                        \n                      <\/jats:tex-math>\n                      <mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\" overflow=\"scroll\">\n                        <mml:mrow>\n                          <mml:msup>\n                            <mml:mrow>\n                              <mml:mi mathvariant=\"double-struck\">RP<\/mml:mi>\n                            <\/mml:mrow>\n                            <mml:mn>2<\/mml:mn>\n                          <\/mml:msup>\n                        <\/mml:mrow>\n                      <\/mml:math>\n                    <\/jats:inline-formula>\n                    ) latent spaces and compare their anomaly detection performance against conventional Euclidean embeddings on simulated collider events. Our results show that autoencoders with topological priors improve anomaly separation by preserving the global structure of the data manifold and reducing spurious reconstruction errors. Applying our approach to simulated hadronic top-quark decays, we show that latent spaces with appropriate topological constraints enhance sensitivity and robustness in detecting anomalous events.
