S. Ovall and R. Reid [Math. Comp.\n                    <bold>92<\/bold>\n                    (2023), pp.\u00a01005\u20131031]). Namely, by perturbing\n                    <inline-formula content-type=\"math\/mathml\">\n                      <mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\" alttext=\"script upper L\">\n                        <mml:semantics>\n                          <mml:mrow class=\"MJX-TeXAtom-ORD\">\n                            <mml:mi class=\"MJX-tex-caligraphic\" mathvariant=\"script\">L<\/mml:mi>\n                          <\/mml:mrow>\n                          <mml:annotation encoding=\"application\/x-tex\">\\mathcal {L}<\/mml:annotation>\n                        <\/mml:semantics>\n                      <\/mml:math>\n                    <\/inline-formula>\n                    appropriately along the subspace\n                    <inline-formula content-type=\"math\/mathml\">\n                      <mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\" alttext=\"upper W\">\n                        <mml:semantics>\n                          <mml:mi>W<\/mml:mi>\n                          <mml:annotation encoding=\"application\/x-tex\">W<\/mml:annotation>\n                        <\/mml:semantics>\n                      <\/mml:math>\n                    <\/inline-formula>\n                    , we collect the eigenvectors near\n                    <inline-formula content-type=\"math\/mathml\">\n                      <mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\" alttext=\"upper W\">\n                        <mml:semantics>\n                          <mml:mi>W<\/mml:mi>\n                          <mml:annotation encoding=\"application\/x-tex\">W<\/mml:annotation>\n                        <\/mml:semantics>\n                      <\/mml:math>\n                    <\/inline-formula>\n                    into a well-isolated region of the spectrum, which can then be explored using any of several existing methods.
