Use of a limited sliding window gives rapid visualization and localization of coding regions in the chromosomes, as well as non-coding features such as repetitive DNA. The method works particularly well on organisms with a skewed base composition, to provide an overview of genomic features.
Availability: Linux Intel and Solaris 8 Sparc binaries available on request.
Supplementary information: Further Fourier mappings can be viewed at www.student.unimelb.edu.au/~hallrs/
[[2004,3,2
["A rapid method for illustrating features in both coding and non-coding regions of a genome
Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, The University of Melbourne, Victoria 3010, Australia
Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, The University of Melbourne, Victoria 3010, Australia
[[2004,2,5
Bioinformatics
[[2023,1,25
[[2004,2,5
[[2004,4,12
["1367-4811","1367-4803
[[2004,4,12
2004,2,5]]}}}
