In order to obtain a reasonable collective outcome for the group, either individual frameworks should be merged or individual preferences should be aggregated. However, framework merging and preference aggregation are different procedures, leading to disagreements on collective outcomes. In this paper, we figure out a solution to combine framework merging, argumentative reasoning and incomplete preference aggregation together. Furthermore, a couple of rational postulates are proposed to be the criteria for the rationality of collective outcomes obtained based on our approach.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1093\/logcom\/exac097","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2023,1,20]],"date-time":"2023-01-20T09:46:45Z","timestamp":1674208005000},"page":"344-369","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["Integrating individual preferences into collective argumentation"],"prefix":"10.1093","volume":"33","author":[{"given":"Chonghui","family":"Li","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Philosophy, Zhejiang University , China; ZLAIRE, Zhejiang University, China; The State Key Lab of Brain-Machine Intelligence, Zhejiang University, China"}]},{"given":"Beishui","family":"Liao","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"School of Philosophy, Zhejiang University, China; ZLAIRE, Zhejiang University , China; The State Key Lab of Brain-Machine Intelligence, Zhejiang University, China"}]}],"member":"286","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2023,1,19]]},"reference":[{"key":"2023030410205247100_","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"1","DOI":"10.3233\/AAC-160014","article-title":"Collective argumentation: a survey of aggregation issues around argumentation frameworks","volume":"8","author":"Bodanza","year":"2017","journal-title":"Argument and Computation"},{"key":"2023030410205247100_","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"730","DOI":"10.1016\/j.artint.2007.04.012","article-title":"On the merging of Dung\u2019s argumentation systems","volume":"171","author":"Coste-Marquis","year":"2007","journal-title":"Artificial Intelligence"},{"key":"2023030410205247100_","first-page":"33","article-title":"Merging of abstract argumentation frameworks","author":"Delobelle","year":"2016","journal-title":"KR"},{"key":"2023030410205247100_","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","first-page":"629","DOI":"10.1109\/ICTAI.2011.99","article-title":"Weighted argumentation systems: a tool for merging argumentation systems","volume-title":"2011 IEEE 23rd International Conference on Tools with Artificial Intelligence","author":"Cayrol","year":"2011"},{"key":"2023030410205247100_","first-page":"195","article-title":"A numerical approach to the merging of argumentation networks","author":"Gabbay","year":"2012","journal-title":"International Workshop on Computational Logic in Multi-Agent Systems"},{"key":"2023030410205247100_","first-page":"1671","article-title":"On the aggregation of argumentation frameworks: operators and postulates","volume":"28","author":"Delobelle","year":"2018","journal-title":"Journal of Logic and Computation"},{"key":"2023030410205247100_","doi-asserted-by":"crossref","DOI":"10.1007\/978-3-642-17280-9","volume-title":"Working With Preferences: Less Is More","author":"Kaci","year":"2011"},{"key":"2023030410205247100_","article-title":"Voting procedures with incomplete preferences","volume-title":"Proc.
