We measure clustering lengths of r0 \u223c 3\u20136\u2009h\u22121 Mpc and typical halo masses of \u223c1011 M\u2299\u00a0for our narrowband-selected LAEs with typical LLy\u2009\u03b1 \u223c 1042\u201343 erg s\u22121. The intermediate-band-selected LAEs are observed to have r0 \u223c 3.5\u201315\u2009h\u22121 Mpc with typical halo masses of \u223c1011\u201312 M\u2299\u00a0and typical LLy\u2009\u03b1 \u223c 1043\u201343.6 erg s\u22121. We find a strong, redshift-independent correlation between halo mass and Ly\u2009\u03b1\u00a0luminosity normalized by the characteristic Ly\u2009\u03b1\u00a0luminosity, L\u22c6(z). The faintest LAEs (L \u223c 0.1\u2009L\u22c6(z)) typically identified by deep narrowband surveys are found in 1010 M\u2299\u00a0haloes and the brightest LAEs (L \u223c 7\u2009L\u22c6(z)) are found in \u223c5\u00a0\u00d7\u00a01012 M\u2299\u00a0haloes. A dependency on the rest-frame 1500 \u00c5\u00a0UV luminosity, MUV, is also observed where the halo masses increase from 1011 to 1013 M\u2299\u00a0for MUV \u223c \u221219 to \u221223.5 mag. Halo mass is also observed to increase from 109.8 to 1012 M\u2299\u00a0for dust-corrected UV star formation rates from \u223c0.6 to 10\u00a0M\u2299\u00a0yr\u22121 and continues to increase up to 1013 M\u2299\u00a0in halo mass, where the majority of those sources are active galactic nuclei. All the trends we observe are found to be redshift independent. Our results reveal that LAEs are the likely progenitors of a wide range of galaxies depending on their luminosity, from dwarf-like, to Milky Way-type, to bright cluster galaxies. LAEs therefore provide unique insight into the early formation and evolution of the galaxies we observe in the local
