The porphyrin macrocycle exhibits a non-planar conformation with major<jats:italic>ruffling<\/jats:italic>and<jats:italic>saddling<\/jats:italic>distortions. In the crystal, two independent solvent molecules form dimers through N\u2014H...N hydrogen bonding.
