The new title chromone\u2013thiazole hybrid presented here, C<jats:sub>14<\/jats:sub>H<jats:sub>10<\/jats:sub>N<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>O<jats:sub>3<\/jats:sub>S, is a candidate as a selective ligand for adenosine receptors. The compound has been synthesized and characterized by the usual spectroscopic means (NMR and EM\/IE) and its structure elucidated by X-ray crystallography, which revealed the presence of packing polymorphism. The two polymorphs (one with space group <jats:italic>P<\/jats:italic>2<jats:sub>1<\/jats:sub>\/<jats:italic>n<\/jats:italic> and one with <jats:italic>P<\/jats:italic>2<jats:sub>1<\/jats:sub>\/<jats:italic>c<\/jats:italic>) show slightly different conformations and the major change induced by crystallization regards the intramolecular contacts defining the supramolecular structure.
