A case study of the University of Southampton research repository (e\u2010Prints Soton) route to sustainability is explored with a description of a new project that will contribute to e\u2010research by linking text and data.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title content-type=\"abstract-heading\">Findings<\/jats:title><jats:p>A model for IR sustainability.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title content-type=\"abstract-heading\">Originality\/value<\/jats:title><jats:p>The TARDis project was one of the first IRs to achieve central university funding in the UK.
