{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2025,8,2]],"date-time":"2025-08-02T17:57:42Z","timestamp":1754157462320,"version":"3.41.2"},"reference-count":2,"publisher":"Emerald","issue":"3","license":[{"start":{"date-parts":[[2007,7,31]],"date-time":"2007-07-31T00:00:00Z","timestamp":1185840000000},"content-version":"tdm","delay-in-days":0,"URL":"https:\/\/www.emerald.com\/insight\/site-policies"}],"content-domain":{"domain":[],"crossmark-restriction":false},"short-container-title":[],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2007,7,31]]},"abstract":"<jats:sec><jats:title content-type=\"abstract-heading\">Purpose<\/jats:title><jats:p>The purpose of this paper is to describe the use of ebrary's e\u2010books at Staffordshire University.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title content-type=\"abstract-heading\">Design\/methodology\/approach<\/jats:title><jats:p>Details are provided of the history of Staffordshire's involvement with ebrary as a supplier of e\u2010books as well as methods of searching for information in the ebrary collection as well as other e\u2010book collections used by Staffordshire University.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title content-type=\"abstract-heading\">Findings<\/jats:title><jats:p>In a split\u2010site university such as Staffordshire, and with many students never visiting campus libraries, the provision of course material and readings in e\u2010format is essential. ebrary provides an \u201cinstant library\u201d solution, and the possibility of adding individual texts to this core collection strengthens this provision.
