The sensitivity of the results is also investigated.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title content-type=\"abstract-heading\">Design\/methodology\/approach<\/jats:title><jats:p>Data envelopment analysis DEA method was used to evaluate the relative efficiency of Arab banks. Cross\u2010sectional data for the year 2005 were used to conduct the analysis.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title content-type=\"abstract-heading\">Findings<\/jats:title><jats:p>The results indicate that the performance of several banks is sub\u2010optimal, suggesting the potential for significant improvements.
