In addition, typologies of buildings by purpose of construction were presented as subject headings.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title content-type=\"abstract-heading\">Findings<\/jats:title><jats:p>Current metadata schemes are diverse and heterogeneous across the 11 databases.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title content-type=\"abstract-heading\">Research limitations\/implications<\/jats:title><jats:p>This study is at the pilot stage and is limited to Canadian architecture collections at McGill University.
