The assessment portion of the tutorial (an eight\u2010question quiz drawn from a pool of 40 questions) was developed and refined in a series of pilot tests.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title content-type=\"abstract-heading\">Findings<\/jats:title><jats:p>More than 80 percent of the 2,097 students who have completed the tutorial have correctly answered the question presented for seven of the eight outcomes.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title content-type=\"abstract-heading\">Practical implications<\/jats:title><jats:p>This paper presents a method for integrating information literacy into the wider university community.
