This paper seeks to address this issue.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title content-type=\"abstract-heading\">Design\/methodology\/approach<\/jats:title><jats:p>The methodology looks at energy consumption in journal production.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title content-type=\"abstract-heading\">Findings<\/jats:title><jats:p>Electronic publication does not produce a perfectly green product, but more of a dark green one with many aspects where energy costs could be saved.
