I survey Heidegger\u2019s transformation of Enlightenment notions such as identity, proximity, community, disembodiment, pattern, representation and utopia to the phenomenological concepts of <jats:italic>Dasein, <\/jats:italic>care, being\u2010with, corporality, praxis, disclosure and the not\u2010yet.
