The types of potential interruption must also be understood\nremembering that small, intermittent failures can be worse than complete\ncollapse. Risk exposures can be prioritized and contingency plans\nestablished. Duplicated carrier communications, private network\ntriangulation, and virtual private networks are considered as well as\nISDN and switched backup services.
