Information technology can be a powerful tool for helping complex companies stay aligned. Of particular promise is the relatively new set of technologies known as \u201cknowledge technologies\u201d \u2010 networks, groupware like Lotus Notes, WWWebware, etc. \u2010 that in combination provide a breadth, depth, and immediacy of communication and knowledge sharing not available in any other single medium.
