Then, the mass functions of different alternatives in different indices are obtained by using the score function of intuitionistic fuzzy sets and the uncertain degrees of different indices. Information can be fused in accordance with the D\u2010S combination rule and the best alternative is calculated accordingly. Finally, a numerical example is utilized to illustrate that a satisfied solution can be obtained and the uncertainty can be decreased.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title content-type=\"abstract-heading\">Findings<\/jats:title><jats:p>The results are convincing: the new decision\u2010making method, by combining the D\u2010S theory of evidence, can well deal with decision\u2010making problems with the attribute values of corresponding alternatives in the form of intuitionistic fuzzy sets.
