This flood makes it increasingly difficult to make sense of the world and arrive at the correct interpretation of events.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title content-type=\"abstract-heading\">Design\/methodology\/approach<\/jats:title><jats:p>\u2013 Classic narrative literature review applying the dosage metaphor to the growing problem of information overload.<\/jats:p><\/jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title content-type=\"abstract-heading\">Findings<\/jats:title><jats:p>\u2013 The seven elements of dosage \u2013 amount, frequency, sequencing, delivery systems, contraindications, interactions, and dysfunctions \u2013 are used to discuss four major coping mechanisms \u2013 escape, attention, delegation, and creative destruction \u2013 for dealing with the flood.
