Responses were recorded with intracellular microelectrodes.<\/jats:p><\/jats:list-item>\n<jats:list-item><jats:p>Acetylcholine induced depolarization, spike generation and contraction. Large conductance increases could be measured during the action of acetylcholine.<\/jats:p><\/jats:list-item>\n<jats:list-item><jats:p>Injection of depolarizing currents through the recording electrode reversed the sign of potential responses. The reversal potential was \u22125 to \u221225 mV.<\/jats:p><\/jats:list-item>\n<jats:list-item><jats:p>Minimum latencies of responses to acetylcholine were 120\u2013500 ms.
