On the basis of these studies a maximally effective dose of 5 mg kg<jats:sup>\u22121<\/jats:sup> was administered 5 min before the determination of seizure thresholds in subsequent experiments.<\/jats:p><\/jats:list-item>\n<jats:list-item><jats:p>Ro 15\u20134513 (5 mg kg<jats:sup>\u22121<\/jats:sup>) significantly lowered seizure thresholds to pentylenetetrazole, bicuculline and the convulsant benzodiazepine Ro 5\u20133663, but failed to alter seizure thresholds to picrotoxin, strychnine, caffeine and quipazine.<\/jats:p><\/jats:list-item>\n<jats:list-item><jats:p>Ro 15\u20134513 significantly raised seizure threshold to the benzodiazepine receptor inverse agonist methyl 6,7\u2010dimethoxy\u20104 ethyl\u2010\u03b2\u2010carboline\u20103\u2010carboxylate (DMCM).<\/jats:p><\/jats:list-item>\n<jats:list-item><jats:p>These results are discussed in relation to other studies investigating the proconvulsant and alcohol\u2010antagonizing effects of Ro 15\u20134513.<\/jats:p><\/jats:list-item>\n<\/jats:list><\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1111\/j.1476-5381.1988.tb11423.x","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2012,7,20]],"date-time":"2012-07-20T00:31:25Z","timestamp":1342744285000},"page":"210-214","update-policy":"http:\/\/dx.doi.org\/10.1002\/crossmark_policy","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":42,"title":["Interactions of the imidazodiazepine Ro 15\u20134513 with chemical convulsants"],"prefix":"10.1111","volume":"93","author":[{"given":"Richard G.","family":"Lister","sequence":"first","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"David J.","family":"Nutt","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"311","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2012,7,19]]},"reference":[{"key":"e_1_2_1_2_1","first-page":"463P","article-title":"The partial inverse benzodiazepine agonist RO 15\u20134513 antagonises acute ethanol effects in mice and rats","volume":"86","author":"BONETTI E.P.","year":"1985","journal-title":"Br.
