The LLFDI was used to assess self\u2010reported function and physical disability. Partial correlations adjusted for age and body mass index were used to determine the concurrent and predictive validity of the LLFDI. Statistical significance was accepted at\n                    <jats:italic>P<\/jats:italic>\n                    &lt;\n                    <jats:italic>.<\/jats:italic>\n                    004 using a testwise correction.\n                  <\/jats:p>\n                  <jats:p>\n                    <jats:bold>Results:<\/jats:bold>\n                    LLFDI Overall Function scores were moderately associated with the SPPB (\n                    <jats:italic>r=<\/jats:italic>\n                    0.65,\n                    <jats:italic>P<\/jats:italic>\n                    &lt;\n                    <jats:italic>.<\/jats:italic>\n                    001), 400\u2010m W gait speed (\n                    <jats:italic>r=<\/jats:italic>\n                    0.69,\n                    <jats:italic>P<\/jats:italic>\n                    &lt;\n                    <jats:italic>.<\/jats:italic>\n                    001), and measures of lower extremity function. Correlations of the two lower extremity subscores of the LLFDI (correlation coefficient (\n                    <jats:italic>r<\/jats:italic>\n                    )=0.63\u20130.73,\n                    <jats:italic>P<\/jats:italic>\n                    &lt;\n                    <jats:italic>.<\/jats:italic>\n                    001) were greater than for the LLFDI upper extremity subscores (\n                    <jats:italic>r=<\/jats:italic>\n                    0.19\u20130.26,\n                    <jats:italic>P<\/jats:italic>\n                    &gt;.004). Performance measures of function predicted disability limitations in the range of\n                    <jats:italic>r<\/jats:italic>\n                    =0.37\u20130.44 (\n                    <jats:italic>P<\/jats:italic>\n                    &lt;\n                    <jats:italic>.<\/jats:italic>\n                    001) and disability frequency in the range of\n                    <jats:italic>r<\/jats:italic>\n                    =0.16\u20130.20 (\n                    <jats:italic>P&gt;.<\/jats:italic>\n                    004).\n                  <\/jats:p>\n                  <jats:p>\n                    <jats:bold>Conclusion:<\/jats:bold>\n                    These findings support the concurrent and predictive validity of the LLFDI.
