Crystallization conditions for both tRNA<jats:sup>Tyr<\/jats:sup> and tRNA<jats:sup>Phe<\/jats:sup> have been systematically investigated for a limited number of solvents. Several forms of tRNA<jats:sup>Tyr<\/jats:sup> can be produced in a controlled fashion.<\/jats:p><\/jats:list-item>\n<jats:list-item><jats:p>The most favourable unit cells are P4<jats:sub>1<\/jats:sub>22, <jats:italic>a<\/jats:italic>= 7.1 nm, <jats:italic>c<\/jats:italic>= 17.4 nm for tRNA<jats:sup>Tyr<\/jats:sup> and P3<jats:sub>1<\/jats:sub>12, <jats:italic>a<\/jats:italic>= 9.3 nm, <jats:italic>c<\/jats:italic>= 7.8 nm, for tRNA<jats:sup>phe<\/jats:sup>.
