Different from the results in [J.\u00a0M. Guti\u00e9rrez and M.\u00a0A. Hern\u00e1ndez, <jats:italic>Comput. Math. Appl.<\/jats:italic> 36 (1998) 1\u20138], these ameliorated methods do not need to compute a second derivative, the computation for inversion is reduced and the <jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:inline-graphic xmlns:xlink=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1999\/xlink\" mime-subtype=\"gif\" xlink:type=\"simple\" xlink:href=\"S1461157016000395_inline1\" \/><jats:tex-math>$R$<\/jats:tex-math><\/jats:alternatives><\/jats:inline-formula>-order is also heightened.
