Physical exercise is increasingly recognized as a promising complementary intervention to enhance psychological resilience and well-being in this population. This study explored the potential of a structured physical exercise intervention program (Promotion of Integral Health and Well-being of Women in Recovery Through Physical Exercise) to reduce perceived stress, improve physical fitness, and promote resilience and social connectedness among women in recovery. A quasiexperimental single-group pretest\u2013posttest design was used. Prior to the intervention, a content analysis of participants\u2019 narrative was conducted to program tailoring. Fifteen women participated in a structured program. Perceived Stress Scale and physical fitness (strength and flexibility) were assessed before and after the intervention. The program led to a significant reduction in perceived stress and improvements in handgrip strength and flexibility. These findings align with growing evidences on the role of physical exercise in modulating stress responses and supporting recovery among vulnerable populations. Promotion of Integral Health and Well-being of Women in Recovery Through Physical Exercise program demonstrates the value of participatory, multidimensional physical exercise interventions in supporting women recovering from substance use disorder.
