This kind of task makes it possible to obtain both an objective measure of how accurate subjects are and a subjective measure of how confident they are in their judgments.\n \n Fleming\n et al.<\/jats:italic>\n <\/jats:bold>\n (p.\n 1541<\/jats:related-article>\n ; see the Perspective by\n \n Lau and Maniscalco<\/jats:bold>\n <\/jats:related-article>\n ) have taken this approach one step further by constructing a measure of how accurate subjects are in their confidence judgments.
