Commun."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[1998]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>The complex [Ti(NC<jats:sub>4<\/jats:sub>Me<jats:sub>4<\/jats:sub>)(NMe<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>)<jats:sub>3<\/jats:sub>] has been synthesized, characterized by mass spectrometry, <jats:sup>1<\/jats:sup>H and <jats:sup>13<\/jats:sup>C NMR and theoretically studied by <jats:italic>ab initio<\/jats:italic> molecular orbital calculations. The <jats:italic>N<\/jats:italic>-\u03c3-coordination mode of the heterocyclic ring was predicted by the <jats:sup>13<\/jats:sup>C NMR data and confirmed by the optimized geometry of the model complex [Ti(NC<jats:sub>4<\/jats:sub>H<jats:sub>4<\/jats:sub>)(NMe<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>)<jats:sub>3<\/jats:sub>].
