Simul."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2005,1]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>In multiscale problems, bridging models are needed between states in different scales and to identify a reduced model, representing the model states at the finest scale. These bridging models typically involve integral equations over a spatial domain which are numerically solved through a discretization process. This paper investigates the error in the approximation of the state incurred by the spatial discretization of these bridging models.
