Math."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2012,1]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>We propose a mathematical spatial and age structured model to describe the spatial spread of Salmonella among laying hens in industrial hen houses. We provide a mathematical study of traveling pulses of infection and describe a minimal speed property for such a problem. The dependence with respect to some heterogeneities of the medium is also discussed.
