Several examples demonstrate the effectiveness of the design, including uncertainty quantification applications. Planned developments are also discussed.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1137\/15m1026110","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2016,10,27]],"date-time":"2016-10-27T12:06:54Z","timestamp":1477570014000},"page":"S78-S100","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":13,"title":["GRINS: A Multiphysics Framework Based on the libMesh Finite Element Library"],"prefix":"10.1137","volume":"38","author":[{"given":"Paul T.","family":"Bauman","sequence":"first","affiliation":[],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]},{"given":"Roy H.","family":"Stogner","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"351","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2016,10,27]]},"reference":[{"key":"atypb7","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1145\/2566630"},{"key":"atypb8","volume-title":"Tech. report ANL-95\/11, Revision 3.4","author":"Balay S.","year":"2013"},{"key":"atypb9","unstructured":"S.
