The problem arises from synthesizing dual-mode ring electrical circuits. In the presented method, the discriminant $\\Delta(\\lambda)$ of Hill's equation is determined from the roots of $\\Delta(\\lambda)-2=0$ at first, and then q(x) is constructed from the roots of $\\Delta(\\lambda)\\pm 2=0$ and $\\Delta(\\lambda)=0$. Examples are provided to verify the algorithm.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1137\/s1064827500376211","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2003,6,11]],"date-time":"2003-06-11T11:12:06Z","timestamp":1055329926000},"page":"1042-1049","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":2,"title":["Application of an Inverse Problem for Symmetric Periodic Potentials"],"prefix":"10.1137","volume":"23","author":[{"given":"G.
