The potential of this model is constructed so that two distinct degenerate vacua in the <jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$\\phi $$<\/jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\">\n                  <mml:mi>\u03d5<\/mml:mi>\n                <\/mml:math><\/jats:alternatives><\/jats:inline-formula> field exist, in analogy to the <jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$\\phi ^{4}$$<\/jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\">\n                  <mml:msup>\n                    <mml:mi>\u03d5<\/mml:mi>\n                    <mml:mn>4<\/mml:mn>\n                  <\/mml:msup>\n                <\/mml:math><\/jats:alternatives><\/jats:inline-formula> potential. Therefore, brane solutions appear due to the vacuum structure of the <jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$\\phi $$<\/jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\">\n                  <mml:mi>\u03d5<\/mml:mi>\n                <\/mml:math><\/jats:alternatives><\/jats:inline-formula> field. However, the topology and vacuum structure in the <jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$\\psi $$<\/jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\">\n                  <mml:mi>\u03c8<\/mml:mi>\n                <\/mml:math><\/jats:alternatives><\/jats:inline-formula> direction depends on the symmetry breaking parameter <jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$\\beta ^{2}$$<\/jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\">\n                  <mml:msup>\n                    <mml:mi>\u03b2<\/mml:mi>\n                    <mml:mn>2<\/mml:mn>\n                  <\/mml:msup>\n                <\/mml:math><\/jats:alternatives><\/jats:inline-formula>, which leads to different types of branes. As a result, one can interpret the present model as a combination of a <jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$\\phi ^{4}$$<\/jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\">\n                  <mml:msup>\n                    <mml:mi>\u03d5<\/mml:mi>\n                    <mml:mn>4<\/mml:mn>\n                  <\/mml:msup>\n                <\/mml:math><\/jats:alternatives><\/jats:inline-formula> brane with an auxiliary field, which leads to deviations from the <jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$\\phi ^{4}$$<\/jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/1998\/Math\/MathML\">\n                  <mml:msup>\n                    <mml:mi>\u03d5<\/mml:mi>\n                    <mml:mn>4<\/mml:mn>\n                  <\/mml:msup>\n                <\/mml:math><\/jats:alternatives><\/jats:inline-formula> system with the brane achieving a richer internal structure. Furthermore, we analyse in detail the behaviour of the superpotentials, the warp factors, the Ricci and Kretschmann scalars and the Einstein tensor components. In addition to this, we explore the stability of the brane in terms of the free parameters of the model.
