The scheme contains a key-share and a set of user-shares. The administrator owns the key-share, and each user owns a user-share issued by the administrator from the user-share set. The shares in the user-share set are visually indistinguishable, i.e. they have the same pictorial meaning. However, the stacking of the key-share with different user-shares will reveal significantly different images. Therefore, the administrator (in fact, only the administrator) can visually recognize the authority assigned to a particular user by viewing the information appearing in the superposed image of key-share and user-share. <\/jats:p>
This approach is completely different from traditional VC approaches. The salient features include: (i) the access schemes are described using a set of graytone images, and (ii) the codebooks to fulfil them are not required; and (iii) the size of share images is the same as the size of target image. <\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1142\/s012906570400198x","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2004,7,6]],"date-time":"2004-07-06T09:27:27Z","timestamp":1089106047000},"page":"175-187","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":5,"title":["A NEURAL-NETWORK APPROACH FOR VISUAL CRYPTOGRAPHY AND AUTHORIZATION"],"prefix":"10.1142","volume":"14","author":[{"given":"TAI-WEN","family":"YUE","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Computer Science and Engineering, Tatung University, Taiwan, ROC"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"SUCHEN","family":"CHIANG","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Computer Science and Engineering, Tatung University, Taiwan, ROC"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"219","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2011,11,21]]},"reference":[{"key":"rf1","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1006\/inco.1996.0076"},{"key":"rf2","author":"Ateniese G.","journal-title":"Theoretical Computer Science"},{"key":"rf3","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1007\/s001459900057"},{"key":"rf4","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1073\/pnas.79.8.2554"},{"key":"rf7","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1007\/BFb0053419"},{"key":"rf10","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1023\/A:1008280705142"},{"key":"rf11","first-page":"1589","volume":"83","author":"Wa C.
