Syst."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[1991,1]]},"abstract":"<jats:p> We have tested a neural network (NN) technique as a method to determine the helicity of the \u03c4 particles in the process: e<jats:sup>+<\/jats:sup>e<jats:sup>\u2212<\/jats:sup>\u2192(Z<jats:sup>0<\/jats:sup>, \u03b3*)\u2192\u03c4<jats:sup>+<\/jats:sup>\u03c4<jats:sup>\u2212<\/jats:sup>\u2192(\u03c1\u03bd)(\u03c1\u03bd). It takes into account in a natural way the fact that both taus have different helicity and gives efficiencies comparable to the Bayesian method.
