The model is valid for two-stage dividers, injected with two-phase or single-phase current or voltage sources. We show that this class of dividers can be rigorously analyzed using the theory of planar nonlinear dynamical systems. We provide accurate compact expressions for the locking range, amplitude, frequency and phase noise.
