However, issues such as inconsistent coordinate systems and projection limitations can lead to gaps and misalignment, degrading visualization quality. A projection correction method for 3D geological models using the Correction Parameter Model with Deviation from Central Meridian (DCM-CPM) is proposed to enhance the integration process in Digital Earth Engines. Specifically, it develops models for deformation errors and proposes a mathematical correction model for bounding box adjustments. Furthermore, it applies function-based free deformation based on Bernstein to maintain geological integrity and computational efficiency. Finally, the DCM-CPM optimizes control vertex distribution for precise model correction in the Earth-centered, Earth-fixed (ECEF) coordinate system. The proposed workflow includes model loading, coordinate transformation, parameter space sampling, correction parameter space construction, control vertices initialization, model nesting and mapping relationship establishment. Experiment results in the Southwest Guizhou show that the DCM-CPM-based projection correction method improves the loading precision of geological body models, with a correction rate improved by 70% to 95%.
