This work is oriented to the realistic coal mining engineering applications, and investigates the mathematical modeling method for safety management in bearing beams of coal roadway roofs. First of all, the mathematical modeling for physical characteristics of three-dimensional (3D) bearing beams is established. Then, the 3D numerical analysis model of rock mass with weak structure is established to reveal the stress safety response characteristics. After that, some simulation is conducted towards the real-world coal mining engineering scenes, in order to make a comprehensive case study for the proposed analytics method. A large amount of simulation results are demonstrated for security response characteristics of bearing beams in coal roadway roofs. The simulation results can reveal the effects of the width, length and depth of weak structure on the principal stress of roadway surrounding rocks.
