It employs an operational transconductance amplifier (OTA), a four-quadrant analog multiplier, three current feedback operational amplifiers (CFOAs), three floating resistors, a grounded resistor, and a grounded capacitor. In contrast with most published memristor emulator circuits, it works for both floating and grounded type without any change in topology. In order to characterize the behavior of the circuit, a mathematical model is derived. Frequency analysis is handled to give a design principle that allows the existence of the pinched hysteresis loop at high frequencies. Furthermore, a design guideline for choosing the numerical values of passive elements according to the desired operating frequency is given. Pinched hysteresis loop in the current\u2013voltage plane is adjustable with transconductance parameter ([Formula: see text]) of the used OTA, values of amplitude of voltage between terminals of the emulator circuit ([Formula: see text]) and frequency ([Formula: see text]. The pinched hysteresis loop holds up to 20[Formula: see text]kHz. The presented emulator circuit gives possibility to designers, using memristor practically in analog circuits and exploring its dynamics. The correctness of the proposed emulator is validated by PSPICE simulations and breadboard experiment.
