Bifurcation Chaos"],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2012,2]]},"abstract":"<jats:p> In this paper a new concept, spatio-temporal generalized frequency response functions (STGFRF), is introduced for the first time to characterize nonlinear spatio-temporal dynamical systems in the frequency domain. A probing method is developed to calculate the STGFRFs recursively for both continuous and discrete spatio-temporal systems.
