A correct and precise specification reduces the effort spent in testing and debugging the implemented system. This paper presents techniques of specification debugging and issues related to it. We introduce an approach to the debugging of a specification in FRORL (Frame and Rule Oriented Requirements Language), which supports non-determinism and non-monotonicity in a system. The approach aids the user in detecting and correcting the possible faults which can arise not only when writing the specification, but also after the verification of the specification. <\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1142\/s0218194094000118","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2004,11,18]],"date-time":"2004-11-18T21:21:13Z","timestamp":1100812873000},"page":"205-228","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":2,"title":["DEBUGGING LOGIC-BASED REQUIREMENTS SPECIFICATIONS FOR SAFETY-CRITICAL SYSTEMS \u2014 A FRORL APPROACH"],"prefix":"10.1142","volume":"04","author":[{"given":"JEFFREY J.P.","family":"TSAI","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Illinois, Chicago, Illinois 60607, USA"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"ALAN","family":"LIU","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Illinois, Chicago, Illinois 60607, USA"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]},{"given":"KRISHNAKUMAR","family":"NAIR","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Illinois, Chicago, Illinois 60607, USA"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"219","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2011,11,21]]},"container-title":["International Journal of Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering"],"original-title":[],"language":"en","link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/www.worldscientific.com\/doi\/pdf\/10.1142\/S0218194094000118","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2019,8,7]],"date-time":"2019-08-07T12:05:01Z","timestamp":1565179501000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/www.worldscientific.com\/doi\/abs\/10.1142\/S0218194094000118"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[1994,6]]},"references-count":0,"journal-issue":{"issue":"02","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2011,11,21]]},"published-print":{"date-parts":[[1994,6]]}},"alternative-id":["10.1142\/S0218194094000118"],"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1142\/s0218194094000118","relation":{},"ISSN":["0218-1940","1793-6403"],"issn-type":[{"value":"0218-1940","type":"print"},{"value":"1793-6403","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[1994,6]]}}}
