J. Algebra Comput."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2005,2]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>We introduce a combinatorial version of Stallings\u2013Bestvina\u2013Feighn\u2013Dunwoody folding sequences. We then show how they are useful in analyzing the solvability of the uniform subgroup membership problem for fundamental groups of graphs of groups.
