In this paper, we introduce the functions \u03c6<jats:sub>s<\/jats:sub>:S* \u2192 S*, first defined by Rhodes, given by \u03c6<jats:sub>s<\/jats:sub>([a<jats:sub>1<\/jats:sub>,a<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>,\u2026,a<jats:sub>n<\/jats:sub>]) = [sa<jats:sub>1<\/jats:sub>,sa<jats:sub>1<\/jats:sub>a<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>,\u2026,sa<jats:sub>1<\/jats:sub>a<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub> \u22ef a<jats:sub>n<\/jats:sub>].
