We show that if A has a k-cube term and A<jats:sup>k<\/jats:sup> is finitely generated, then d<jats:sub>A<\/jats:sub>(n) \u2208 O( log (n)) if A is perfect and d<jats:sub>A<\/jats:sub>(n) \u2208 O(n) if A is imperfect.
