Based Syst."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2017,2]]},"abstract":"<jats:p> A new strategy based on Takagi\u2013Sugeno fuzzy controller is proposed in this paper for wide-area power system. In this strategy, the proposed fuzzy controller is optimized by a new hybrid metaheuristic algorithm and hyperplane clustering algorithm to partition the fuzzy space of the given input\u2013output data. A global signal from the centralized controller is employed in wide area control (WAC) scheme to damp out the inter-area mode as well as local mode of oscillations. To demonstrate the capability of proposed strategy, three case studies have been used in this paper.
