Each coalition is allowed to tax the complementary coalition when proposing a new allocation. Taxation is regulated by a public authority so as to satisfy certain restriction on the resulting allocation. We show that the core coincides with the set of nucleolus allocations defined in this economy. We also show that the core is nonempty under the usual convexity assumptions. <\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1142\/s0219198909002224","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2010,1,11]],"date-time":"2010-01-11T09:45:20Z","timestamp":1263203120000},"page":"141-155","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["THE CORE COINCIDES WITH THE NUCLEOLUS ALLOCATIONS IN A PUBLIC GOODS ECONOMY WITH TAXATION"],"prefix":"10.1142","volume":"11","author":[{"given":"TOSHIYUKI","family":"HIRAI","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Graduate School of Decision Science and Technology, Tokyo Institute of Technology, 2-12-1 Ookayama, Meguro-ku, Tokyo 152-8550, Japan"}],"role":[{"role":"author","vocabulary":"crossref"}]}],"member":"219","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2011,11,20]]},"reference":[{"key":"rf1","volume-title":"Topological Spaces","author":"Berge C.","year":"1963"},{"key":"rf2","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1007\/BF01780629"},{"key":"rf3","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.2307\/2526008"},{"key":"rf4","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.2307\/1909241"},{"key":"rf5","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/0022-0531(77)90002-3"},{"key":"rf6","first-page":"63","volume":"9","author":"Hirokawa M.","journal-title":"Social Choice and Welfare"},{"key":"rf7","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1215\/S0012-7094-41-00838-4"},{"key":"rf8","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1137\/0129006"},{"key":"rf9","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/0022-0531(77)90001-1"},{"key":"rf10","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.2307\/1913951"},{"key":"rf11","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.2307\/1885661"},{"key":"rf12","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/0022-0531(89)90019-7"},{"key":"rf13","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/0899-8256(89)90015-8"},{"key":"rf14","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/0022-0531(77)90103-X"},{"key":"rf15","first-page":"84","volume":"29","author":"Nakayama M.","journal-title":"Economic Studies Quarterly"},{"key":"rf16","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1007\/BF01774301"},{"key":"rf17","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1016\/0022-0531(72)90120-2"},{"key":"rf18","doi-asserted-by":"publisher","DOI":"10.1137\/0117107"}],"container-title":["International Game Theory Review"],"original-title":[],"language":"en","link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/www.worldscientific.com\/doi\/pdf\/10.1142\/S0219198909002224","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2019,8,7]],"date-time":"2019-08-07T13:25:09Z","timestamp":1565184309000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/www.worldscientific.com\/doi\/abs\/10.1142\/S0219198909002224"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2009,6]]},"references-count":18,"journal-issue":{"issue":"02","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2011,11,20]]},"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2009,6]]}},"alternative-id":["10.1142\/S0219198909002224"],"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1142\/s0219198909002224","relation":{},"ISSN":["0219-1989","1793-6675"],"issn-type":[{"value":"0219-1989","type":"print"},{"value":"1793-6675","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2009,6]]}}}
