Inter. Net."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2001,3]]},"abstract":"<jats:p> This paper studies the effectiveness of a fully distributed location management scheme for PCS networks. Using analytical modeling and numerical simulation, we show that fully replicating lacation information is both appropriate and efficient for small PCS networks. Then, we extend the scheme in a hierarchical environment so as to reduce overhead and scale to large PCS networks.
