We discuss a few easy examples involving trigonometric or other nonmonotonic time dependence of the map, and discuss in detail the structure of channels which don\u2019t have any trigonometric functional dependence. We demystify the concept of a singularity here, showing that it corresponds to a point where the dynamics can be regular but the map is momentarily noninvertible, and this gives a basic guideline to construct such non-invertible non-Markovian channels. Most members of the channels in the considered family are quasi-eternally non-Markovian (QENM), which is a broader class of non-Markovian channels than the eternal non-Markovian channels. Specifically, the measure of quasi-eternal non-Markovian (QENM) channels in the considered class is shown to be [Formula: see text] in the isotropic case, and about 0.96 in the anisotropic case. <\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.1142\/s1230161220500195","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2021,4,29]],"date-time":"2021-04-29T07:26:11Z","timestamp":1619681171000},"page":"2050019","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":1,"title":["A Class of Quasi-Eternal Non-Markovian Pauli Channels and Their Measure"],"prefix":"10.1142","volume":"27","author":[{"given":"Shrikant","family":"Utagi","sequence":"first","affiliation":[{"name":"Theoretical Sciences Division, Poornaprajna Institute of Scientific Research, Bidalur, Bengaluru 562164, India"},{"name":"Graduate Studies, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal 576104, India"}]},{"given":"Vinod N.","family":"Rao","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Theoretical Sciences Division, Poornaprajna Institute of Scientific Research, Bidalur, Bengaluru 562164, India"}]},{"given":"R.","family":"Srikanth","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Theoretical Sciences Division, Poornaprajna Institute of Scientific Research, Bidalur, Bengaluru 562164, India"}]},{"given":"Subhashish","family":"Banerjee","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[{"name":"Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur 342037, India"}]}],"member":"219","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2021,4,29]]},"container-title":["Open Systems & Information Dynamics"],"original-title":[],"language":"en","link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/www.worldscientific.com\/doi\/pdf\/10.1142\/S1230161220500195","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2021,4,29]],"date-time":"2021-04-29T07:26:12Z","timestamp":1619681172000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/www.worldscientific.com\/doi\/abs\/10.1142\/S1230161220500195"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2020,12]]},"references-count":0,"journal-issue":{"issue":"04","published-print":{"date-parts":[[2020,12]]}},"alternative-id":["10.1142\/S1230161220500195"],"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1142\/s1230161220500195","relation":{},"ISSN":["1230-1612","1793-7191"],"issn-type":[{"value":"1230-1612","type":"print"},{"value":"1793-7191","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2020,12]]}}}
