Uncert. Sys."],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2025,3]]},"abstract":"<jats:p> The main objective of this paper is to introduce the novel concept of spherical linguistic fuzzy number. The spherical linguistic fuzzy number contains linguistic term, positive, neutral and negative membership degrees with the conditions that the square sum of its membership degrees is less than or equal to [Formula: see text]. Then, we discuss some basic operational rules of SLFNs and define a generalized distance measure between two SLFNs. Here, we define two newly aggregation operators, namely, SLFNWA operator and SLFNWG operator. Furthermore, we demonstrate an MCGDM technique using the defined aggregation operator, which has been applied to solve a real-life numerical problem.
