Computation"],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2026,9]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>Fuzzy sets and fuzzy points are distinct concepts within the realm of fuzzy set theory, each with unique characteristics and applications. The fusion of fuzzy points and soft sets introduces a new concept called the hybrid point, which offers a more versatile approach to modeling uncertainty in decision making, information systems and algebraic structures. While a fuzzy point emphasizes the localized membership of a specific element in a universe, a soft set provides a flexible framework to handle uncertainty without the need for a precise membership function. In this paper, we introduce the concept of hybrid points within the framework of ternary semigroups, blending the notions of fuzzy points and soft sets to address the complexity of uncertain and ambiguous elements in algebraic structures.
