Computation"],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2026,12]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>In this paper, we have analyzed the risk of regions affected by infectious diseases like COVID-19, Pneumonia, Influenza, Dengue, and Malaria by using the concept of vague soft set. For this analysis, we have introduced a process to generate vague values of some major reasons for the spread of infections as parameters of the considered regions. To determine the rank of risk regions, we have used a new formula to convert vague values to fuzzy membership values, and the method is validated with the help of some existing methods. So, this work will help to identify the regions at more risk than other regions.
